A walk and some chores

I met my friend M at our local National Trust place, Tyntesfield. It was pouring down til we arrived, the it abruptly stopped so we had a medium length walk, and a nice cafe visit. She has a husband with recent but  fairly quickly progressing dementia. It’s a bit like a frog in a pan of water being gradually heated up. She needs support, and I wondered if she would join a carers group, as a starter. She has two lovely daughters, but they both live hundreds of miles away. It’s a hard situation for her. He is frustrated and angry.
The rest of the day was spent getting things done, including popping to the health centre for a blood test.  I didn’t take a photo at the beautiful National Trust place, I was too busy listening to M. So I took this in the grounds of the health centre.  It’s kind of the polar opposite of the NT, featuring, albeit in soft focus, a boarded up council house with wood and metal over the windows. But I liked the traveller’s joy- which is lovely when you look closely at it.
