Marie's Number Three

Number three in Marie's five most favourite things is her garden and her birds. She loved nothing better of an evening after her supper than to sit out on the lawn and listen to the birds singing to her from the fence.

As she sat right next to the bird feeder they used to swoop down over her head and eat right under her nose and she never batted an eyelid. However dare a crow come into her garden when her little birdies were there and the biggest woof would come out from her that came right from her paws. Given that Marie rarely barked the crows would soon shift.

She would sit so long that even after it got dark she would still be outside listening to the birds and we would have to go and practically shove her inside at bedtime.

Yet more very happy memories and tomorrow is her second most favourite thing
