Ice fishing

I drove past this pond this afternoon and there were a few people ice fishing so I stopped for a few photos. I think this guy must not have had much luck, he was busy checking his phone. There were 3 others guys chopping a new hole in the ice.

The truck needed 2 new tires, they arrived late last week, so I got them put on today. Expensive pieces of rubber. But with the amount of driving I do, it is better to have good tires on the truck.

I had joined another social group and they were meeting for lunch today. I decided to join them. There are several in the group that I know from other groups. A couple of them were there today so I sat beside one of them, and the 2 of us talked with another woman beside us and a guy beside me joined in the conversation off and on. There were several couples there, compared to the group I normally go out with that is mostly single.

When I was talking to Kim today, asking who I had for helpers tomorrow and for the jobs next week. She was hinting that she might give me more work in March. I said I am looking forward to having some time off before the gardening jobs start. If it was only one day a week during March it wouldn't be so bad, but I need a break from the 4 and 5 day weeks.

I would like to have an overnight getaway before the gardening jobs start, just not sure where I want to go. The group I was out with today is planning a weekend at White Point Resort, and that has been one of the places I have considered.
