Stick Like Glue
Found some old Victorian tiles in the garage. I think they came from the in-law’s house and that there was a vague plan to incorporate them into our kitchen. Well, that particular ship sailed several years ago when we had the house redecorated so had to think of something else. Decided to keep the best tile and hang it on the wall. Which requires a loop to be glued on the back of it.
So it was out with the epoxy and the fixing was tacked in place, ensuring it was dead central. Had to chip a bit of glaze off the back of the tile to ensure good adhesion - no going back after that! I’ll put a bit more epoxy over the top to strengthen the mount once the first lot has dried.
While I had the glue out, I also mended a small ornament that has been awaiting repair for a few months. Not perfect, but you won’t see the join when the glass liner is refitted!
Another couple of jobs crossed off the list. As I’ve always said, if you want me to do something, you only have to ask once and I’ll do it. Just can’t give you a timescale that’s all…
