Miniature Iris

After a good night’s sleep, for which I was very grateful, I have had a much better day. The highlight was a visit this afternoon to inspect our granddaughters’ half term craft work, which they were desperate to show us. 

It had all been laid out on the lounge floor for us to see, and the girls took it in turn to show us each item and explain how it had been made. There were paper fans on sticks, pom pom toys, coloured in pictures, paper mobiles, puppets stuck to clothes pegs and much more. We were overwhelmed by their creativity and productivity, and by their generosity in insisting that we take some items home to keep as gifts from them.

Before we went off to visit them I had taken my camera for a walk round the front garden, whereupon my lovely neighbour spotted me and called out that she would be checking out my journal to see which photo I had used today!
