Spikey

There are Purple Knapweed buds (Centaurea pullata) in abundance along the verges and around the trees, looking rather weird and  spikey.  They are quite tiny, just a few centimetres across.  When the flower is out (in extra) they are rather more pink than purple.

It was 24C on the patio at lunch time in the sunshine.  Mark has been busy with the pressure washer on parts of the paving around the house to get rid of debris and mud from the recent heavy rains. I've been busy with the hoe on the weeds wild plants, but I save the Knapweed.

It is so good to see bees are arriviing and pollinating the almond blossoms.
