Carob Bokeh

Opened the little window by my high-up bed this afternoon, and all the leaves were sparkling and dancing in the sun, plus clouds of tiny insects lit up like lightning bugs. This was the carob tree (non bokeh version in extra).

We have two carobs, really hope we see flowers and pods soon. Portugal is the largest producer of carob, and they are supposed to do well in most soils and are very heat and drought resistant (though we've irrigated ours to get them off to a good start).

Gratefuls:
- the beauty all around us, especially in early and late light
- getting all the painting and waxing done on the bookshelves; should be able to start putting everything back tomorrow
- Mike's freshly baked bread, with a glass of red
