Feeding Time!

Had a strange sight today, I was walking along a beach and I heard a Seagull cry from on the grassy rocks about 20 feet above me. I looked up and saw nothing, then all of a sudden, this Common Gull (Larus canus) came flying in and made for the sound. I took some pictures and couldn't see until i looked back on the film, that the parent was actually feeding a full grown chick. I thought This is August, they should be long gone by now, but no! this mother is still feeding the youngster. It must have been a late laying and hatching. It was nice to catch on camera!
