Flying Without Wings

Or - in acting terms - rehearsing without scripts! We’re all supposed to be off book by now, but there’s still a bit of work to do, judging by the last couple of nights. Act 2 last night was decidedly shaky, but Act 1 tonight didn’t go too badly. My script stayed on the counter or under my chair and I only had to resort to it on a couple of occasions. About the same for the rest of the cast.
Getting the Director’s notes at the end, it really is just a case of us nailing those lines so we know exactly when - and where - we should be saying them. I sneaked this picture when one of the others was getting feedback!
We’re running Act 1 again tomorrow, so we’ll see how much of what we’ve done tonight and been given notes about has sunk in…
