Hidden Gold...

I smile to post this shot. I had no idea what I was shooting at, and it's testament to the accuracy of the eye detection on the Sony that it managed to find and focus on the bird as it hopped through the branches. 

Never stayed still long enough for me to recognise it at the time - just a feeling it wasn't a little brown job. And then it was gone, and it wasn't until I ran through a bunch of mediocre walkabout shots that it popped up on screen. And I smiled.

A busy day otherwise, with loads of Parish Council work and meetings with locums. It's mostly on track, and now it'll wait until next week as we're off to Cornwall for a few days rest and relaxation.
