not a happy chappy

Phoned Mum early this morning to check on yesterday's bobby blip.
He had climbed two steps and with a gentle poke was obviously still alive..just.
So a call to Kanyana, our BRILLIANT Wildlife Rescue Centre, and after describing the symptoms, zoomed over to pick up said bobby struggling with Bobtail Flu!!

With all the symptoms we have ( gasping for breath, sticky eyes, gunky throat etc), Bobtail Flu is increasingly appearing as a cause of sickness in these gorgeous critters.
It will take several weeks, if not months, for BobbyW(ilson) to hopefully recover after which we will release him/her back into mum's garden. As they mate each year with the same partner, there is probably another bobby, still in hibernation in the same space, just waiting for the coming spring.
