Santa Rosa Creek...

...barely visible on the other side of the growing log jam. Spike and I walked down there today to check it out. There were a bunch of people standing on the bridge and some kids down in the creek so we didn' venture further since there is a pestilence upon our house.

 there are also flooded signs on our road  (extra) which clearly isn't flooded anymore. I'm surprised the county put the signs out. We never saw it when it presumably was flooded, and I'll be very surprised if they pick the signs up before June. But the road might not even be there by June at the rate it is deteriorating.

After starting out the day trying to turn on the fire with the television remote and uttering nonsense, spending the day in the hospital and a bowl of Jim's chicken soup, John had a good night and woke up feeling rather sprightly...for about five minutes. Aside from getting him into the shower in the afternoon, he has been asleep all day. 

As for me. I did some laundry, having solved the dryer problem with Carolines help. She figured out how to set it for time instead of relying on sensors and it works just fine. I also took out the compost bucket, usually John's chore. Tomorrow, the recycling!
