In miniature

Friends were calling round this afternoon so I did a bit of tidying up before their arrival. The low sun at this time of year is cruel in highlighting dust.

In doing so, I came across one of two tiny wooden miniatures which some French friends gave us some years back. Because they are so fragile we keep thin in their little boxes but curiosity took over and today’s photo was settled.

They are made by a couple: Jöel and Maryse Dedianne and are in exquisite detail. It’s a shame we keep them in their boxes.
