They look remarkably comfortable.

I managed to get home with enough energy to clean out the work bag then put it away before I sat down... I only noticed afterwards I'd put the two ducks (who've come home for a wash after a strenuous few weeks work) in my organist's shoes. 

For some reason, my clarinet ( in the black case) mostly lives on that "in transit" shelf - because the acoustics are best in the hall way which only has carpet on the stairs and it's where I sound best when I'm getting back into playing fitness. I do often take it with me to church when I'm doing organ practise as I learnt long ago I could go on working for longer switching between instruments. I can also make more noise in church...
