Feathers
I made a short foray to Asda, using a tram on its truncated route (just between Newhaven and Balfour St down this end). Noticed this pretty feather on the approach to the supermarket and wondered who it was from - then a few yards on I saw the one on the right. Connected, I wonder? Has there been a murrrr-der?
En route home I helped two separate sets of confused visitors - one lot were trying to go to Princes St on the tram and a couple of tram drivers were going into elaborate and unnecessary detail about the engineering works and the need to change to a bus at Balfour St, when I butted in and advised them to get directly on a no 16 bus at the stop about 20 yds beyond them. (Tram drivers don't really know much about buses, I guess). The other lot were on a tram heading away from Newhaven, but debating with each other about where in Leith they might find that harbour with all the boats moored and the lighthouse and the fish restaurant.....I suggested that they were in fact looking for Newhaven and they were grateful to get off the tram and wait for one going back in the correct direction.
We struggle on. In other news, I was very pleased to read that NannaK now has her DWD prescription in place if she needs it.
