Lynch
An easy morning at home, an IKEA afternoon and then out in the evening.
A packed Cameo Screen One for a one-off screening of David Lynch's 'Wild At Heart'. I first saw this film at Manchester's Cornerouse on its opening weekend in 1990, a Saturday matinee introduced by Mark Kermode no less (whatever happened to that young whippersnapper then eh?) and the day involved getting the train in from Stoke too if I remember correctly. Anyway tonight's viewing was fabulous - a pretty young crowd for the most part (altho' judging from the various shout-outs during the film plenty had seen it before), a big round of applause at the end, a real event kind of atmosphere, and, as the crowd spilled out at midnight, we were really glad we'd been there. Ace.
