I just thought ...

... I would make a big, round vase.   Then, having made the sphere, it looked like it needed a neck.   Then, it looked like it needed a handle.  I only had a small piece of rolled clay with me.  Two handles didn't look right, with just enough clay for one more, I gave it a go ..... et voila!   Pretty pleased with it.

This was done at the end of the day.  A day which started late after a long lie in.  Mostly it has been a day of chores before a brief stop at pottery to roll a piece of clay.  Ruth has found things to keep herself occupied.  There's a vast amount of stuff from her childhood still stored here, she's sorted through all the boxes, looking for something she didn't find but finding things she wasn't looking for.   She did find a cast of Timmy's pawprint that she made in 2009 which made her day.
