A Better Day

After a dampish start the day developed into a nice sunny afternoon. Lots more people and cars about today. We had a mooch around the Fowey shops and managed to grab Cornish pasties for lunch - we couldn't come all this way and not have one. 

As it was so nice we got the ferry over to Polruan. Ticket prices were up again, £3.00 each way this year, though dogs were only 50p! We decided not to do our usual walk up to the blockhouse but mrsfb did manage the steps up into the bar of The Lugger (first extra) where I had a very nice pint of Tribute, she had a J2O. Dogs that had braved the ferry crossing were rewarded with their own special menu (second extra).

I was keeping up with the Pompey score as we moved about - I was very good and forwent the opportunity to watch the match live. I couldn't believe it - 'we' won 2-0 away and are definitely pulling away from the drop zone now.

The last extra was spotted on the walk back to the apartment. Tagged for Derelict Week.

We hadn't booked anywhere for dinner this evening but just got back from a super meal in The Ship Inn. I had a pint of Proper Job this time.
