Solway Coast

We visited Fountains Gallery in Wigton this morning. Tom wanted to support a friend. There were lots of interesting pieces to see.
After some refreshment in a local Granary we decided to head for Beckfoot on the coast. My parents would take us there on sunny days, when we were small. We would go home, happy, sandy, and sunburned with an ice-cream from Longcakes at Silloth. My brother's always lasted longer than mine!
In contrast with todays 3 degrees, flat misty sky and wind.
Tom did a little bit of beach combing. It was a refreshing walk.
