Snowdrop
Managed to get out for a decent walk today - around 6K along the old canal path before finishing at Caffè Nero for a warming coffee. Most welcome because, although it was dry and calm, it was bitterly cold.
Despite the cold, we came across several clumps of snowdrops along the way. The more sheltered the spot, the more in bloom they were. Definitely a sign that spring is just around the corner.
As Mrs C was out last night, we’re having our Valentines meal tonight. Thought we’d see what M&S had left from their Dine-in deal, and were very pleased to find that there were still a few things left. Even better, they were now 50% off, so we treated ourselves to a starter AND a dessert!!
A rare night when we’re both in tonight, so time to catch up on some of the telly we’ve missed over the past week. Normal service is resumed tomorrow when Mrs C is out all day and I’m home alone defrosting the freezer and doing the ironing!
