The Weight

The end of week one of “Operation Declutter” and a fair bit of stuff has gone, either to charity or in the bin. And that which has been returned to the loft is now a lot more organised than previously.
There are also a couple of boxes which are being filled with things suitable for car boot sales or the local bric-a-brac shop, but these will have to wait for warmer weather to be disposed of.
Finally, there are a very small number of items that we decided were worthy of being put on display rather than being hidden away in the loft. And this little weight is something I claimed. It was stored with an old Edwardian set of postage scales, but isn’t one of the weights that go with the scales. I have a small collection of coin weights from my banking days and it fits nicely with them.
All it needed was a quick rub with the Brasso and we were good to go…
