Lotta water

The Isle of Elba took a beating as a slow moving thunderstorm - unheard of in February- dumped a waterbomb on Portoferraio. Two inches of rain here and then a sudden shift as cold arctic air pushed in from the northeast.

This is the same fosso Fontemarcole of a few days back in full raging mode. The rain brought down a section of stone terracing which, tbh, was a right pain in the Fontemarcole.
