I don't go out much...

seemingly I don't go out much as I don't feel I have been bombarded with Valentine's guff in the shops.. either that or I have become immune to it all!!  So much so that when I woke up this morning I totally forgot it was Valentine's day.  We have never really celebrated or spent on flowers for Valentine's day but I have always cooked a nice dinner and lit a candle to eat it by... sufficient and makes us happy!.  I came downstairs to find a card on the table.. oops.. hadn't even bought one..so hurriedly went into the studio and painted one!!  Then made a frothy coffee and sprinkled a heart on top to deliver to the office at the other end of the house.. at that point I was handed a very lovely bouquet of flowers.. naughty him! (so much for the don't spend extra mantra I have always insisted on!)  They are beautiful and I love them.. kind.. however I then went to the cupboard to get a vase which involved getting one down to move another to reach the one I wanted.. in the process one fell down on top of me smashing glass in every direction and blooding me on its way down.. really glad I had my glasses on so protecting my eyes.. there were shards in my jumper and my neckscarf.. oops!  Having swept up and dusted down I took this photo so the lovely frothy heart topped coffee looks a little weary as the bubbles burst while I was busy clearing up!
The sun is shining.. hurrah! Must paint... quickly!
