Rosa rugosa

So is that the end of the summer? Felt like it today with persistent rain for many hours.

I saw this flower when I walked down to fetch the Sunday papers (which incidently I couldn't get because the local store has been told it is too big to open for more than 6 hours on a Sunday!).

It's a focus stack although I was trying to leave some softness in the petals.

'm actually selling the lens I used (a Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro) as well as my Sigma 500mm because I have got hold of a Nikon 600mm f/4 at a ridculous price and need to fund the purchase. If anyone is interested let me know. They are great lenses but I need to make a bit of money to offset the still substantial cost of the Nikon.
