Purple Sandpiper - 17
For the first time this year I went on a bit of a birding trip. I had managed a quick walk at Burton before my shift on a few occasions but this was the first time I had gone out elsewhere. I started off at the marine lake in New Brighton where I saw this purple sandpiper and there were also a few ringed plover (bird 18) which I have added as an extra. I then went along to the lifeboat station at Hoylake before finishing with a walk around West Kirby Marine Lake. I spotted a few new birds for the year and got a better photo of a goldeneye than the one I took at Tatton Park on Sunday.
