Wanderings and meanders

Fern

Natural History Museum, Kensington, London

Fern is a bronze cast of a diplodocus skeleton who has been installed in a new garden at the Natural History Museum.

Spent the morning browsing fossils and minerals. Then headed next door to the Science Museum in the afternoon for an exhibition on the science of Versailles. I wasn't expecting to see Louis XV's rhinoceros when I got up in the morning! Or one of Madam du Coudray's obstetrics mannequins.

Treated ourselves to some Japanese patisserie from Sukarado - including sweet potato roll cake, mille crepe cake and, unexpectedly, basque cheesecake.
