Making waves
Took Charlotte to school this morning, collected the flowers she has organised for the drama teachers responsible for the show, did a bit of shopping and then drove back up to the cottage.
We came straight back out, a military style operation with two not very mobile pensioners and the patient! Drove up to Whitby, left them in a cafe where we thought they were just getting a drink, and had a walk along to the pier.
The waves were quite spectacular, photo doesn’t really do them justice. We’d only put an hour on the cars so went back to collect the rabble, only to find they’d ordered food. Ended up having to get more car park tickets and join them for a drink.
It was my turn to cook so we had a very late meal of hunters chicken, which went down very well with all.
Spoke to Charlotte, the show went well again tonight.
Just a shame Liverpool couldn’t hold on for three points.
Three positives:
1) had a lovely sleep in my own bed with no dog to disturb me
2) went to Asda and found a cardigan Charlotte had spotted but in the right size for her
3) blew the cobwebs away in Whitby
