Geocaching again - in Wigan this time
We were not doing very many caches today but it meant a reasonable walk and it was getting out of the house.
The caches were not very inspiring and in fact most of them were grotty. Mushy log books, caches buried in mud, coords out making it hard to search for a cache on someone's gate!
Anyway, it wasn't a wasted day as it did get us doing some exercise and getting some fresh air although even the air wasn't too fresh in places!
There was a lot of dog poo around and rubbish as well.
Hope our next trip is better.
Above is where an earthcache is situated, and it's one we went to log on the way home. It's in Orrell, Lancashire and is a Grade II Listed Building. I couldn't find a date for its age - the plaque states that there has been a post on the site since 1607. I looked up the listing and it says the post is C17 or C18.
I have been past here many times but never noticed it.
