Water in the River?

Well, this body of water is only there because contractors, with heavy machinery, dug tonnes of shingle and gravel out of the dry river bed to allow spring water to rise up and pool in the new channel. It would be great to have some really heavy rain, not too much though, to finish the job and get the river running properly in this area soon.
