Busy time at the Carousel (not)

Thank you, everyone, for your understanding and good wishes for Gruff during his illness. He now appears to be back to his usual self.
I had to go into the city centre for my annual eye test today. In the middle of the main shopping street there is a Carousel which in these cold winter months is rarely used. I feel sorry for the operator who has to hang around on the off chance that a young child fancies a ride. Like most of us when we have little to do he has taken solace in his smartphone. I wonder: social media, games, TikTok, news feeds? We’ll never know.
