Carlisle
Jess had an appointment in Carlisle and then was planning to go shopping for "bits". Bits rings alarm bells as it is code for browsing shops which for me is equivalent to kryptonite. It was suggested I take my camera and give bits a wide berth.
The centre of Carlisle is pretty much dug up, there is a major restoration of the pedestrian areas going on, I do hope the work is not in vain, from what I saw today there were few pedestrians about in the town. I retreated to the Cathedral for some peace.
Main shot is looking down towards the Altar and the magnificent east window. This section was rebuilt in the C14 after a fire. The glass in the top of the window is original from that time.
In extras I was stopped in my tracks by the posters in this shop, the market for Unidexters is limited I imagine.
One leg too few
