Hoar frost on pine

This morning a heavy fog appeared while we had -3°C and all of a sudden everything was covered in Hoar frost.

I was assisting Mr. E today and it went okay. I had assisted him couple of times before about a year ago, but he did not remember me. There's so many people coming and going so it's understandable. But he's still quite sharp otherwise.

Yesterday when I went to assist J after a year's pause, he was already outside waiting for me. Before If I was early he was still sitting on the sofa and just said that the time begins at half past. I guess he was really waiting for me. We also made one more extra appointment (as he can't use his hours while he's on vacation), so next week on Wednesday we'll go visit the Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva. That's gonna be fun. It's been on his list of things he wants to do, but Malva is always closed on Monday.

This and next week seems to be my last shifts on the ward. The changes they are making on how they give out the gig shifts is the soft that makes it impossible for me to get shifts. (So many things creating this that I can't change.) I'm making my peace with this - slowly. It makes me bit angry that doing the job well and caring, doesn't make any difference. Or the fact that I have been very flexible with everything. I was there the whole summer, lot of shifts alone as last year it was very difficult to get anyone to take shifts. Now so many practical nurses have lost their jobs (due to government "savings") so the competition to get shifts is fierce.

I have not heard anything from the unemployment officials regarding wanting to get into the school again. According the news there's systems failing and employees getting burned out as they are in an impossible situation. So I'm quite glad the next course is starting in August, perhaps they can get this mess settled before that.
