Catkins
A grey, damp, cold and generally miserable day. I took a while to get going. I tested the weather by going out for a very short walk, then got myself appropriately clad for a run, and forced myself out in the cold. It wasn’t too bad once I got going. Six miles later, and I got home to find that TT and BB had already departed for Murrayfield to watch the Scotland Ireland game.
I did a few chores, had lunch, and then went for a wee walk, before catching a bus into Edinburgh. I battled my way through the rugby crowds to make my way to a hostelry where I met up with a very miserable BB, TT and equally miserable friends. The score was definitely not what anyone in Scotland wanted. After a drink, we moved on to a nearby Indian restaurant, where we had a very tasty meal. It was a lovely evening, especially as we caught up with a couple of friends we hadn’t seen for at least ten years.
While BB had joined us for the meal, he had gone off to meet friends, as they were all travelling back to Glasgow together. TT and I were on the bus home, but we had just missed one, which gave TT time for a quick whisky.
I didn’t take very many pictures today, probably due to it being such a grim day, but did spot these catkins this afternoon. Another sign of spring.
