Team Bus

I was tired this morning and seriously thought about just working from home. Luckily I remembered that I was going to an in person meeting with colleagues, so got myself organised and into the office.

I spent the morning in the office, then headed down to the station to meet a colleague. We caught our train, then met up with another couple of colleagues, one of which then drove us to our meeting.

We headed to reception and were very surprised to find out they weren’t expecting us. Upon further investigation we discovered they had changed it to a Teams meeting, and none of us had noticed. They had been so adamant about it being an in person meeting and they kept changing the day and time, such that none of us noticed the venue change. They very kindly found a room for us and helped us get online. We all felt very stupid, but the meeting went ok in the end. It wasn’t the best use if our time, but it wasn’t ever going to be. I got back to the office and spent an hour catching up with my in box, before catching the bus home.

After tea, I popped out for some steps. It’s felt very cold today, so I was a little reluctant, but used the excuse of needing something for my lunch as an excuse to get myself out the door.

I passed the Irish team bus when I was in my way to the station this morning. I sent the picture to BB and friends who were at the rugby yesterday. They weren’t impressed!
