Robin was 'ere

... allegedly. This is a view along the Loxley Valley. Loxley is believed to have been the birthplace of Robin Hood. We live between the Rivers Don and Loxley, just on the Don side of the hill, but only a stone's throw from views like this. On the horizon is Derwent Edge - the sunset from earlier in the week was further up, going down behind that edge. As we have so many wonderful views I thought it was time I had a go at improving my landscape photography skills, so I set off with my kit lens, tripod and filters. Not an ideal day - breezy and overcast - but I wanted to make a start. so, this is my baseline shot. Hoping that study and practice will help me improve - oh, and taking inspiration from folk out there in Blipland.
