Gone

This is a photo of the \henry Curwen pub before it was demolished.  Workington is going to have changes made to its road infrastructure in due course.  The demolition is to make it easier for lorries to navigate their way to the docks, by widening this junction.  The pub was at the bottom of Ramsey Brow and lorries would turn left and continue on to the docks.  This would also involve rebuilding an old wall that runs around Hall Park and widening the road for these lorries, but there is still Workington Bridge to negotiate.  You can see the plans if you Google: Workington Gateway.  The bridge is to the right of the extras.
