Lake District: Castle Crag

Castle Crag in Borrowdale is the lowest of the 214 Fells recorded in Alfred Wainwright's Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells but it is nevertheless a popular climb and the views over Keswick and Derwentwater towards Skiddaw are a fine reward for your effort. We continued on over High Doat from where this shot is taken, Castle Crag in the centre . A lovely riverside stroll back from Seatoller to Rosthwaite where a cream tea was enjoyed at the Flock-in tearoom. A good day's walking in ideal conditions
