1962 David Brown 30D
My Dad brought this tractor in 1989 as a rusting heap for £175 and spent many hours restoring it to it's former glory, as he did for several other vintage tractors. He passed away some 18 years ago now and since then it has been a bit neglected, not anywhere near the rusting heap it was but somehow I don't think he would be too pleased to see it now. It runs well but the paint work is not so much red now but pink and that's why this is B&W! (although David Brown called their red paint Hunting pink!)
Today we had to move it from a home it has been for a few years now, outside and with nettles growing through it. My brother has very kindly offered to have it on his front lawn for a while and I think decisions need to be made as to what happens in the future.
I loved this, and the other tractors Dad had, and we all had some great times ploughing with them, showing them and generally messing about on them but without him it's just not the same however hard I try.
