All in a morning's work

This morning we had arranged a work session in our local wildlife area.Fortunately, the day looked promising with sunshine and blue skies, and we were gratified when a great group turned up- ten of us in total- and then Clare came along and took this picture of some of us in front of our huge pile of prunings! (Clare was excused harder work -she was singing in last night's concert.) In two hours we had accomplished so much in terms of bramble clearance, coppicing and general tidying up. Lots of useful conversations, too,. about other community  matters, especially as Eve, a parish councillor was one of our number.
Next week a bonfire is in the offing...
