Winchester-city of sport

This mosaic has recently appeared in the subway at Winchester railway station.
I hadn't been aware until now that apparently Winchester is a city of sport! However, I've always considered it to be a city of music. We discovered the mosaic this evening on our way, not to  a match of any kind, but a concert by the Winchester City Festival Choir, in which two friends were singing. The choir performed to a very high standard under the baton of their new conductor, Barbara Hofling. The pieces included Vivaldi's Gloria and Schubert's Mass in G. 
A lovely evening out.
