Yay!

The idea of getting up and going to the beach early was always a non starter given no-one got to bed due to the rugby. I baled halfway through the 3rd quarter but #1 son and WH made it to half way through the second half of the England/French game.

I had a pretty good night's sleep given I was sharing with Amelia and Olivia was on the mattress on the floor. We all woke up about 7.15 but the girls went back to sleep. I was up drinking tea outside just after 8 but it was almost 10 before the rest (re)surfaced.

After breakfast it was decided it was too late to go to the beach so we stayed round the pool which got emptied and emptied as people checked out. I stayed back with Olivia while the rest went food shopping.

After a late lunch we did go to the beach as the tide was in and Indonesia was further away. It was very cloudy, United yesterday but still very warm, as was there sea. Unfortunately, I stupidly lost my sunnies in the sea, floated on my back and forget they were on there back off my head. Bought a RM30 replacement pair from a kiosk later.

Before we left the girls decided to turn their dad into a mermaid. He said it was very restful.

Back at base another dip in the pool (new folk had arrived) to get rid of the salt and then sat and talked to #1 soon as he got the BBQ going. There's was a slight breeze. It was very pleasant.

Later we discovered the pool had disco lights and MeiMei went back in, on her own. I start outside enjoying the warmth and listening to the planes heading to KLIA.

After watching the rest of the Engkand-France game we are now at Murrayfield. Less than 10 minutes in and already not looking good. This is why I don't normally watch!
