Hedgehog Hullaballoo

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

HEDGEHOGS!

We can hear them scruffling around out there from about 9pm onward. The first one to arrive always seems very happy, leaping directly into the middle of the bowl and paddling around in the food. 

They are noisy, messy eaters. CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCHING on cat biscuits or SMACK SMACK SMACKING on the wet food.

It is just adorable. 

We are still waiting for the very tiny babies to arrive. We're pretty far along into our summer by this stage, but even the smallest hedgehog in this picture is not that small. The teeniest ones could fit into a teacup. 

Where they would undoubtedly splash about, making a mess, so probably not the best idea.
