Wind your neck in
A real highlight of the day. Susan had been given a voucher for afternoon tea for two at the nearby Chilston Park hotel as a birthday present last May.
We were going to use it to go with Bob and Sue and, as you might remember, Sue died last September. We needed to use the voucher and thought it would be too much carbs and cake for just so we arranged it so Rosemary could join us to enjoy it.
Ha! Some chance! We asked if we could bring a third person along and we’d pay for the cups of tea. The hotel were very generous, didn’t charge for the tea and put extras on the plate so that we all had the same! Plan foiled.
I was also concerned about eating so many carbs given my battle with blood sugars. However, I’ve learned to just relax and enjoy it in the very rare occasions we get the chance. And it’s just what I did and it made it such a very special experience.
The main blip is of me eyeing up the cakes and the extra is a more sensible shot of Susan and Rosemary. A good one for Silly Saturday in honour of Admirer.
Not watched any rugby yet!
A good day to have afternoon tea. It was dismal outside. After all that extravagance we came went for a 4.5 mile walk in the gathering gloom in the best part of the day
