White Fever

Not something I am afflicted by, although I do grow a few different snowdrops.  Here are six of them, picked before the battering easterlies spoil them.

It's supposed to be a period of calm weather but here easterly breezes are accelerated as they pass over the mountains.  The forecast gentle breeze becomes a noisy gale at times.  Sitting indoors I can hear rattles and bangs outside :-/    Meg and I did have a blustery walk in the morning sunshine that was later replaced by a blanket of grey and I took Bella round the block too.  One thing these wind are good for is drying laundry.  A load put out at 2pm was dry by 5pm even though it's cold and sunless.

Otherwise it's been a day for indoor jobs, albeit a day that started late after last night's escapade.  Admin, food, an hour at pottery.   A gentle sort of day.
