Bradford, City of Culture

I went North today, to see the premiere of Virdee for the BBC as an event for Bradford’s year as the City of Culture.  I am working with the writer, indeed have been doing for some time and we have a show that we’re developing with another broadcaster.   It was quite an event, Amit is a Bradford pharmacist, turned novelist and it felt as if the city had turned out to celebrate.  Really enjoyable.  A BBC reception before and a smaller group afterwards in a Bradford bar.  Lovely day, I finally turned in to my hotel bed at 1am.
