Inside, looking out
It's Wednesday so it's film studio. Usually we eat with Rose before the film but she's away so we decided to eat out, together with Ruth.
The restaurant in which we are sitting has been here as long as we've been here but it came under new ownership a few years back and is run by a lovely couple. She works out front and he does the cooking. It seems to have gone well and they closed for a long time to completely renovate, almost rebuild, but they now have a much larger area to seat customers, and hence a lot more customers. Being a bit chatty ourselves we have got to know them a little. Perhaps our shared experience of being immigrants to Sweden helps, who knows. Anyway, we are always happy to see each other.
After a delightful meal we moved along to filmclub to see a Finnish black comedy film - "Death is a problem for the living". This is the point where I usually recommend the film but today is the opposite. There was an awful lot of tension and horror, and very little comedy. A "feel miserable" film.
As the picture today shows the streets are not very pleasant just now, with large puddles and slushy ice everywhere in town. Happily our village is a little higher and further from the coast so we still have snow-covered paths and tracks.
