On the Line
This is an unusual sight! It was a lovely day so washed the towels and hung them out and they were almost dry!
Got some bad news today of the death of a lovely friend who I have know since 1977, Charlie. He was 75. You couldn’t meet a nicer guy, and a proper gentleman. He told me a couple of years ago that he had prostrate cancer, but he was very positive and upbeat, which is his personality. When we met him last in the Autumn he told us it was terminal. That last meeting he made me laugh and cry, and although he was terminal he still had that big smile and twinkle in his eyes. He was a good friend to many and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. RIP Charlie.
Popped down to see Laura and took her washing down to her.
