Tehidy to Deadman's Cove
Today's walk took us to Tehidy, for a walk in the woods and through the fields, to Deadman's Cove and then back along the coastal path. I was a little bit naughty. Do you want to know what I did?...............
I was off my lead, trotting along in good dog mode, when all of a sudden I realised that we were walking past a field that had two goats in. I'm not sure if I've ever seen goats before. They were standing still so I just stood and stared at them for ages. And then they started to run around. Well obviously things that run need to be chased. Unfortunately the goats had wire netting all around their field, but I didn't know that, so I squeezed myself through some prickly bushes and went zooming around the perimeter of their field to see if I could get into their field and chase them. I couldn't. Booohoo. It didn't stop me running around for ages though and I was totally ignoring Ann and her friend, Angela, who were constantly calling me. Talk about being disobedient?! Ann was furious with me!!! Eventually Angela managed to capture me and she dragged me back to Ann by my collar and then I got put back on my lead.
I had to stay on my lead until Ann had checked that there was no more livestock on our walk and then I was let off lead again, on the understanding that if I did anything else remotely naughty, I would have to go back on my lead for the rest of the walk. This is a photo of me walking behind Angela in good dog mode. I'm pleased to report that I was a very good little Collie for the rest of the walk.
…................And one of the best things about this walk was.................. I found a rather lovely stick. Yay!
