The Missus..
AHA .. At last..Madame Cardinal showed up at the feeders. Her mate has been visiting often, but I keep missing her appearances...There has not been a lot of action at the feeders lately. Maybe birds do not like the bitter cold either? But today there were lots of birds.. but also snow. It is a challenge to snap those quick moving birds through falling snow but I got lucky with this one!
There was also more people action in the neighbourhood today. The whining of chainsaws got me out of the house to investigate, chanting "Please..no tree removals..Please.." We have lost so many over the years that the whole nature of the street has changed.
Thankfully, the beautiful, towering tree in question was just being pruned!( extra) A huge threatening limb hanging over a roof had to be removed, but that's all.. Whew..
.But it did remind me of the sad day that I had to have a monster tree in my back garden cut down - same scene - a huge crane...street closed to receive the limbs as they were spun out and over the houses to land on the street where the chainsaws did their work. A sad day for sure.
The good/bad news today is that the doctor has called to say that he likes the BP readings I emailed to him yesterday, but wants me to continue sending them in for another month. Drat.. I had hoped that he might feel confident enough to reduce my meds even more...but it seems not. Oh well, another month is not that bad.. I can handle that.
Of course the current political situation is still most distressing, but at least we have a pause of tariffs for a month..but it just prolongs the chaos of not knowing. Regardless of that decision, I have started carefully examining what I buy from where.
