Reverie
This weekend has been excellent at shaking me out of my hermiting reverie.
This morning we relaxed at the pool and spent the afternoon drinking margaritas at the wonderful bar adjacent to our hotel. Our hotel is like many in Zanzibar that don’t serve alcohol. However, a good strategy is to encourage a bar to spring up twenty metres away to keep visitors well watered. Let no strict religious observance get in the way of a money-making opportunity that keeps clients happy.
We stayed in this spot until darkness had well and truly arrived, and I travelled back to Dar es Salaam late at night.
